Step into Fran&Co's first Seoul office, where design expertise meets inventive problem-solving in our very own 'Designer's Atelier.' Our journey began with a challenge: a windowless space and a tight budget. Undeterred, we embraced these constraints as opportunities for innovation, turning limitations into design achievements. Our overarching aim was to craft an environment that exuded warmth, fostered healing, and embodied transparency, both literally and figuratively.

Creative Solutions

Drawing inspiration from the existing light mint walls, which harmonize perfectly with our vision of a refreshing and healing space, we embarked on a journey to reimagine the space. Navigating the absence of natural light, we devised ingenious solutions to maximize space and ambiance. Our first task was to enhance the entrance, a focal point for Fran&Co’s identity. We added a layer of sophistication with a glass door displaying our logo, welcoming visitors with a glimpse of our creative realm within. The placement of forest-themed wallpaper not only expands the perceived dimensions but also fosters a harmonious connection with nature, aligning seamlessly with the adjacent Seoul Botanical Park. A curtain-clad wall seamlessly concealing the workshop area while imbuing the space with an aura of elegance through interplay of indirect lighting.

Materials and Sensory Experience

Every element in our office is meticulously to not only evoke comfort and inspiration but also to promote transparency, breathing life into our space with a sense of openness and fluidity. From the luxurious travertine marble of the meeting room table to the warmth of wood accents, each material selection embodies quality and sensory delight. As guests step into our meeting room, they are enveloped in a cozy leisurely ambiance, courtesy of the rattan-finished chairs and forest wallpaper that evoke relaxation, encouraging individuals to unwind and engage in meaningful dialogue.

Moreover, our dedication to transparency is evident in the careful selection of features such as the meeting room being primarily constructed of glass, and transparent door handles and furniture handles delicately decorated with gold accents, seamlessly integrating functionality with aesthetic appeal. These transparent elements serve as elegant focal points, permitting light to gracefully permeate the space, infusing it with an airy and inviting atmosphere. In the meeting room, pendant lighting with a translucent polycarbonate finish adds a touch of understated elegance, casting a soft glow that enhances the ambiance without overwhelming the senses. Similarly, in the material space, the installation of transparent bubble-shaped glass pendant lights creates an enchanting and fairytale-like atmosphere.

The materials displayed on floating-like shelves not only inspire designers but also serve as a showcase of our commitment to excellence in design and meticulous attention to detail. By incorporating transparency into our design ethos, we not only enhance the visual appeal of our space but also foster a sense of breathability and openness that encourages creativity and innovation.

Branding Integration

At Fran&Co, our brand identity permeates every aspect of our space. The entrance glass door proudly features our logo, framed to welcome visitors with our distinctive emblem. The iconic arch from our logo, symbolizing ‘timeless design, timeless space’, is thoughtfully incorporated into the display furniture. Beige accents, echoing the hues of our logo's color palette, embellish custom-made furnishings, carpet tiles and desk partitions, solidifying brand recognition and unity. Intentional integration of our logo into architectural elements and furniture further strengthens our visual identity, ensuring a cohesive and immersive brand experience throughout the office.

Healing and Inspiration

Artistic embellishments, such as a painting depicting a white horse symbolizing prosperity, along with greenery and forest wallpaper, collectively create an environment conducive to creativity and rejuvenation. The carefully curated selection of decorative objects sparks inspiration, featuring architectural artwork, Korean traditional pottery, and artistic elements. Team members and visitors are invited to experience healing and inspiration through our office.

Sustainability

In our commitment to sustainable design, Fran&Co's Seoul office minimizes environmental impact and promotes responsible resource management. We repurposed existing materials, such as the light mint walls and white ceilings, reducing waste while showcasing our dedication to sustainability. Additionally, we applied carpet tiles above existing LVT without removal, minimizing material consumption and waste. The curtain was designed for easy removal and reuse, eliminating the need for construction work on the wall behind it and simplifying the process of future reinstatement. This thoughtful approach not only reduces waste but also ensures the flexibility of our sustainable practices. Through these conscious decisions, Fran&Co sets a standard for sustainable practices in interior design.

Ergonomics

At Fran&Co office, our priority is the well-being of our team. Ergonomic considerations are seamlessly integrated into our workspace, promoting comfort, health, and productivity. Carefully selected furniture, including height-adjustable workstations and ergonomic chairs, provides comfort tailored to the user's ergonomic needs. Efficient layout and adequate lighting further enhance our workspace, minimizing physical strain and supporting overall well-being. Through our focus on ergonomics, Fran&Co empowers our team to thrive, fostering a culture of health and productivity.

Flexibility and Future Growth

Anticipating our evolving needs, we've designed our space with adaptability in mind. Magnetic linear track lighting offers flexibility in illuminating dynamic workspace configurations, ensuring optimal functionality as we grow. Plans for the future envision the transformation of our lounge area into a versatile hub, accommodating expanded team members and evolving the space into a dedicated material library, embodying Fran&Co's commitment to innovation and excellence.

디자이너의 아뜰리에

프란앤코의 첫 서울 사무실, 디자인 전문성과 독창적인 문제 해결이 만난 '디자이너의 아뜰리에’를 소개합니다. 우리의 여정은 창문이 없는 공간과 제한된 예산이라는 챌린지와 함께 시작되었습니다. 우리는 이에 단념하지 않고 이러한 제약을 혁신의 기회로 받아들여 한계를 디자인 성과로 전환했습니다. 우리의 가장 중요한 목표는 형태적으로나 비유적으로 투명함을 구현하고 아늑하고 힐링되는 환경을 만드는 것이었습니다.

창의적인 솔루션

상쾌하고 힐링되는 공간에 대한 우리의 비전과 완벽하게 조화를 이루는 기존의 밝은 민트색에서 영감을 얻어 공간을 재해석하는 여정을 시작했습니다. 자연광이 없는 상황에서 우리는 공간과 분위기를 극대화하기 위한 독창적인 솔루션을 고안했습니다. 우리의 첫 번째 과제는 출입구가 프란앤코 아이덴티티의 중심이 되는 것이었습니다. 우리는 유리 문의 프레임에 로고를 사용하여 세련미를 더해 방문객들에게 우리 내부의 창의적인 공간을 엿볼 수 있도록 했습니다. 숲을 테마로 한 벽지는 인지적 차원을 확장할 뿐만 아니라 인접한 마곡 서울식물원과 자연스럽게 조화를 이루며 자연과의 연결을 조성합니다. 커튼으로 덮인 벽은 워크샵 공간을 완벽하게 숨기는 동시에 간접조명을 통해 공간에 우아한 분위기를 불어넣습니다.

자재와 감각적 경험

우리 사무실의 모든 요소는 편안함과 영감을 불러일으킬 뿐만 아니라 투명함을 구현하여, 개방적이고 유동적인 공간으로서 생명을 불어넣을 수 있도록 세심하게 선택되었습니다. 회의실 테이블의 고급스러운 트레버틴 대리석부터 따뜻한 목재 액센트까지, 각 소재 선택은 퀄리티와 감각적 즐거움을 구현합니다. 손님이 회의실에 들어서면 라탄 마감 의자와 숲속 벽지는 아늑한 여가 분위기를 자아내며, 이는 긴장을 풀고 여유롭게 의미있는 대화를 나눌 수 있도록 해줍니다.

또한, 투명함을 구현함에 있어 유리로된 미팅룸을 구성하고 골드로 은은하게 포인트를 준 투명 도어 손잡이와 가구 손잡이는 엑센트로서 기능적이면서도 미적인 역할을 합니다. 이러한 투명 요소는 우아한 초점이 되고 조명이 공간에 스며들면서 빛나고 매력적인 분위기를 조성합니다. 회의실에는 반투명 폴리카보네이트 마감의 펜던트 조명이 절제된 우아함을 더해주며 은은한 빛이 오감을 압도하지 않으면서도 분위기를 자아냅니다. 마찬가지로, 자재 공간의 투명한 버블모양의 유리 펜던트 조명들은 매혹적이고 동화 같은 분위기를 연출합니다.

떠있는 듯한 선반에 전시된 소재는 디자이너에게 영감을 줄 뿐만 아니라 탁월한 디자인과 디테일에 대한 우리의 세심한 관심을 보여주는 쇼케이스 역할도 합니다.

브랜딩 적용

프란앤코 브랜드 아이덴티티는 공간의 모든 측면에 스며들어 있습니다. 입구 유리문에 로고로 프레임을 만들어 우리의 특별한 엠블럼을 통해 손님들을 맞이할 수 있도록 했습니다. ‘Timeless design, timeless space’를 상징하는 프란앤코 로고의 아치(arch)를 디스플레이 가구 디자인에 접목시켰습니다. 로고 색상을 연상시키는 베이지 액센트는 디스플레이 가구와 카펫 타일, 책상 파티션에 반영되어 브랜드 인지도와 통일성을 강화해줍니다. 의도적으로 건축 요소와 가구에 반영된 우리 로고는 시각적 아이덴티티를 강화하고 사무실 전반에 걸쳐 브랜드 경험을 조성했습니다.

힐링과 영감

번영을 상징하는 백마 그림과 나무, 숲속 벽지가 함께 어우러져 창의성과 활력을 주는 환경을 조성합니다. 건축적 작품, 한국 전통 도자기, 예술적 요소들로 이루어진 세심하게 선별된 오브제들은 공간에 영감을 불러일으킵니다. 팀원들과 손님들은 프란앤코 사무실에서 힐링과 영감을 느낄 수 있습니다.

지속 가능성 (Sustainability)

프란앤코 서울 사무실은 지속 가능한 디자인에 대한 헌신으로 환경에 미치는 영향을 최소화하고 책임감 있게 자원 관리를 하고 있습니다. 우리는 밝은 민트색 벽과 흰색 천장과 같은 기존 자재를 재활용하여 폐기물을 줄이면서 지속 가능성에 대한 헌신을 보여줍니다. 또한 기존 LVT를 제거하지 않고 위에 카펫 타일을 적용하여 자재 소비와 폐기물을 최소화했습니다. 커튼은 쉽게 떼어내어 재사용할 수 있도록 하여 뒷면의 벽 공사 작업이 불필요하고 미래의 원상복구 과정을 단순화했습니다. 이러한 사려 깊은 접근 방식은 낭비를 줄일 뿐만 아니라 지속 가능한 관행의 유연성을 보여줍니다. 이러한 의식적인 결정을 통해 프란앤코는 인테리어 디자인의 지속 가능한 관행에 대한 표준을 설정합니다.

인간 공학 (Ergonomics)

프란앤코 사무실의 최우선순위는 팀의 웰빙입니다. 인체공학적 고려 사항은 사무실 공간에 편안함을 주고 건강과 생산성을 향상시켜 줍니다. 높이 조절 가능한 책상과 인체공학적 의자 등 엄선된 가구는 사용자의 인체공학적 요구에 맞춰 편안함을 제공하고, 효율적인 레이아웃과 적절한 조명은 신체적 부담을 최소화하고 웰빙을 추구합니다. 프란앤코는 인체공학을 통해 건강과 생산성에 대한 문화를 육성하고 우리 팀이 번영할 수 있도록합니다.

공간의 유연성과 미래 성장

우리는 미래에 변화하는 요구 사항들을 고려하여 적응성을 염두에 두고 공간을 설계했습니다. 마그네틱 라인 트랙 조명을 사용하여 회사가 성장함에 따라 공간 구성을 바꾸어도 유연하게 조명을 재배치 할 수 있도록 했습니다. 미래 계획에는 라운지 공간을 다용도 허브로 전환하여 추가 팀원을 수용하고 또한 이 공간은 자재 라이브러리로 발전시킬 예정이며 이는 혁신과 우수성에 대한 프란앤코의 전념을 보여줍니다.
